InterNations Event at The Crocker Club

InterNations is a community where you can meet people from all over the world. For some people it is about making business connections, but for most people it is about meeting new and open minded people. InterNations host events on a monthly basis, and on Friday night I went to my first one. It was taking place in the Crocker Club in Downtown LA, which was build in 1914 and originally was the Crocker National Citizens Bank. Today the Club has the design of the early 1920s and the original bank vault is still intact. It is a nice place with a cool atmosphere, definitely worth checking out while being here in LA. It was a fun night and I met some nice people from countries like Australia, Italy, Poland, Japan and even Germany. Some people definitely saw the event as a business opportunity, which for me for example meant free coffee samples šŸ˜‰ We all got a paper in the beginning with the pictures of banknotes from different countries on it. The goal was to name as many countries as possible. In the end I was in the top 3 and won an automatic wine bottle opener, meaning from now on I have to drink a lot of wine šŸ˜€ All in all it was a fun night, and it is always interesting to meet people from other countries and to hear their stories, why they are here and what they are doing šŸ™‚
